September 10, 2009 : A letter from Linda: It has been a week since Chico came home. He is doing great. I think he is adjusting to his new environment very well. He won't venture too far from the living room, kitchen and backyard but he is slowly finding out the rest of the house is okay too. He has made appearances in the bedrooms-just to check things out, then you will find him back on the couch. We are working on the basement-he is not even the least bit curious as to what is down there. He is so friendly with everyone and is getting along with Snoopy and Roxy better than I ever expected-in such a short time. He loves going outside, he runs and jumps. It it such a happy sight to see. I can't tell you how grateful I am for Chico... It feels like a family member coming home after a very long journey, a journey not so happy at times. After seeing and experiencing more than he bargained for, I am so glad Best Friends was there to give him another chance so he could see all the good that is out there. What's more, you helped him realize he is worthy of it, believing in him, never giving up on him. Thank you for being there for him. He is such a wonderful addition to our family.
