Pahrump Super Cat Adoption Event

Meet the rescued kitties, take them home!

Saturday, Aug. 11
at
Nugget Hotel & Casino

Pahrump, Nevada  (08/07/2007)-- About 50 of the most adorable, adoptable cats to ever purr will be at the Pahrump Nugget Hotel & Casino this Saturday, Aug. 11, looking for a great family to take them home.

The Pahrump Super Cat Adoption Event will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 11 at the Pahrump Nugget Hotel & Casino, 681 S. Highway 160 (State Route 372 & 160).

These kitties are some of the 400+ cats that were surrendered to Nye County Animal Control earlier this month. The national animal welfare organization Best Friends Animal Society was brought in to make life better for these cats, and that means we want them to go home. It is what they deserve.

"We at Best Friends have been deeply touched by the generosity of the people of Pahrump, North Las Vegas, Las Vegas, Henderson, and other nearby towns, who have embraced our whole rescue operation," said Danielle Aymar, Best Friends Adoption Manager.

"
Over the last couple of weeks some lucky cats have gone to wonderful families."

"It was like a dream come true when the management of the Pahrump Nugget Hotel & Casino generously offered to host an adoption event. Our hope is that all of the cats we bring to the casino will be in their new homes Saturday night--purring on the couch or a soft bed."

People can fill out their adoption application online, have it screened and approved prior to coming to the Nugget to meet the kitties Saturday. Please go to http://network.bestfriends.org/nyecounty/news/ and click on the adoption tab to fill out the application.

Can't adopt? Volunteers are needed to help with the event, as well as on the site at the Nye County Cat Rescue, 2171. S. Bond in Pahrump.

To volunteer, please contact:
Tiffani Hill at tiffanih@bestfriends.org or 805-698-5959.
