The Hartz Mountain Corporation new best friends for dogs, cats, bunnies at nations largest animal sanctuary
Best Friends Animal Society operates the nations largest companion animal sanctuary and the daily need for food, toys, bedding and other supplies is tremendous.
The estimated 1,700 dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, parrots, potbellied pigs, and other companion animals who are homeless pets, rescued from pet mills or otherwise in need of the special care provided at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary depend on donations from the public.
The Hartz Mountain Corporation is doing its part to help the abused and abandoned pets who land at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary with a recent $112,000 donation of food and other supplies.
Patty Hegwood, Best Friends animal care director said, oration generous donation is very much appreciated. We spend about $500,000 every year on animal food. Without donations, such as the one from Hartz, that total annual bill of $500,000 would be much higher. On behalf of the homeless pets who find refuge at Best Friends while waiting for their forever families, thank you, Hartz Mountain.
