Eric Evans, Creative Director
Eric Evans is the creative director for Best Friends Animal Society. In addition to various brochures, advertisements and signage, he designs Best Friends magazine and the Best Friends newsletter.
Prior to arriving at Best Friends in March 2007, Eric worked in various fields doing marketing, branding and design. As art director for Sportif USA in Reno, Nevada, he helped create the visual identity for several clothing brands, including Aventura for Women. While in Seattle, Washington, he served as managing editor to The Comics Journal, an award-winning monthly magazine.
Through his freelance design consultancy, he designed for disparate brands, from medical groups to realtors to skateboard and tattoo shops. For several years, he worked as a consultant to the Small Business Development Center at the University of Nevada, where he ran seminars helping new and small businesses maximize their marketing. As a lark, he created an independent arts magazine called The Chimpanzee to showcase the artists, musicians and filmmakers working outside the mainstream.
Eric's hobbies include hiking, scuba diving, and travel. He lives in Kanab, Utah, with his dog, Fidgette.
