Aileen Walden, Senior Manager of Stewardship and Donor Relations
It's all about the people who love the animals! Since arriving at Best Friends in 2004, Aileen's passion and focus have been on relating to the members on a personal level and thereby deepening their relationships with Best Friends and the work for the animals. She has also worked on our acquisition and member development programs, events and more.
Prior to arriving at Best Friends, Aileen worked for 20 years in retail customer service, operations and marketing management. The companies she worked for spanned national retailers, specialty, hard and soft lines. Her favorite part of the work has always been training, with a customer-focused approach to promote and improve business.
Aileen's background in facilities installation and redesign, development of customer service programs, instructional and promotional materials and programs design, all add to her being a true generalist --- something in which she takes a great deal of pride.
Before moving to Utah, Aileen served on the board of KittyCorner of Central New York and was a lead volunteer. She also consulted with the Syracuse Onondaga Cat Counsel and participated in New York Partners Helping Animals. Aileen received a Bachelor of Science degree in public relations from Syracuse University.
Aileen lives in Kanab with her dogs Tootie and Red, her cats Gus, Pumpkin, Harley and Newton, and her colony of community cats.
