Diane Blankenburg, Best Friends Network

Diane Blankenburg is the director of the Best Friends Network.

The Best Friends Network is a service program of Best Friends Animal Society, and a key component of the national No More Homeless Pets campaign. The Network is comprised of over 12,000 individual volunteers and organizations across the country who have offered to help animals in their local communities.

Requests for help coming into the sanctuary are managed by a team of Network Coordinators, who provide information, advice, and referrals, and make Network connections for people in need of assistance with animal situations.

Diane is responsible for managing and developing the Network staff, as well as the Network of volunteers.

Prior to joining Best Friends, Diane spent 20 years gaining a broad range of experience in facilitation, training, and coaching of teamwork, communication, conflict management, problem solving, quality improvement, and customer service topics. She has managed professional teams, coached management personnel, taught undergraduate and graduate courses, and run her own consulting business.

Diane's consulting experience ranges from Fortune 500 companies to educational institutions. Both of her advanced education degrees (a bachelor's and a master's in business administration) were earned from the University of San Diego.

Diane lives in Kanab, Utah, with her two dogs, Lady and Beaumont.
