Glen Reid, Canyon Director
Glen Reid became the canyon director for Best Friends in 2006. His areas of responsibility include gardening/landscaping, maintenance, utilities, lodging and housekeeping and the greenhouse.
Glen came to Kanab from Dallas, Texas. He spent many years in corporate sales with Hewlett-Packard and ran a custom home-building business in his spare time. He says that in many ways, he feels he has been training for his job as canyon director all his life.
Glen enjoys most outdoor sports; traveling with his wife, Holly Harris, who also works at Best Friends; and exploring the wonders of Angel Canyon, the location of the sanctuary. He and Holly are also busy keeping two city dogs out of harm's way.
Glen is pleased and honored to be a part of the Best Friends vision and he is looking forward to the exciting times ahead.
