Holly Harris Reid, Director of Finance and Administration
Holly is the director of finance and administration for Best Friends which includes accounting and finance, human resources, shipping, and legal. She came to Best Friends in 2006.
Holly has an MBA in accounting (CPA qualified) and approximately 15 years of corporate and non-profit accounting ranging from a large multi-billion utility corporation to a telecom start-up. She happily said good-bye to the corporate world when she came to Best Friends and embraced the opportunity to live and work with people who shared her passion for animals.
Holly also has a degree in journalism and has done extensive editorial work in the conservation world. She is treasurer of the board for the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, NW that provides haven for chimpanzees rescued from biomedical research facilities. The mountain gorillas in Rwanda hold a special place in her heart, along with the other Great Apes and she remains committed to their preservation.
Holly is married to Glen Reid, the canyon director, and they are parents of four furry kids - two dogs and two cats. They love to travel to far away places, hike the red rock country, and take road trips with their dogs.
