Holly Harris Reid, Deputy Controller

Holly is the deputy controller for Best Friends.  A lifelong love of animals brought her to Best Friends with her husband, Glen Reid, the canyon director.  She is responsible for managing the budget and the accounting department at Best Friends.

Prior to her work in accounting, Holly worked for nonprofits in the conservation world editing a multi-authored book and various newsletters on primates.  She continues her involvement with the preservation of the mountain gorillas in Rwanda, who hold a special place in her heart.

Although this was her first love, she chose to pursue a graduate degree that led her into business for several years.  When the opportunity to work at Best Friends came along, she happily said good-bye to the corporate world and has never looked back.  Holly has worked in businesses ranging from startups to large corporations, but enjoys the culture of a smaller organization and the satisfaction of making a difference.

Holly and Glen's furry family family includes two dogs and two cats.  They love to travel, hike the red rock country, and take road trips with their dogs.
