Silva Battista, Celebrity Relations Program Manager
Silva Battista is one of the founders of Best Friends. She manages the various outreach programs of Best Friends in the Los Angeles area including the Best Friends Brigade, Animal Helpline, celebrity events, and Super Adoptions.
At the sanctuary, Silva oversees the organic greenhouse and has a large household of rescued animals.
For the first ten years of the sanctuary's creation and development, Silva was primarily involved in grassroots fundraising and program development. She has also been an integral factor in building up the celebrity support and a huge volunteer force in Los Angeles.
Silva was born in England and has a degree in Fine Art. Prior to her work with Best Friends, Silva worked both as a graphic artist and gardener in England and Canada.
