Tamara Berry, Planned Giving Manager

Tamara Berry has been the planned giving manager at Best Friends since January 2003. Before coming to Best Friends, Tamara was living in New Orleans with her family and working in the corporate world in the banking business. Born and raised in Oklahoma, she managed a feral cat colony in her early 20s, before she even knew what a feral cat colony was. In New Orleans, she was on the board of directors of Southern Animal Foundation.

In her current position at Best Friends, Tamara enjoys talking to members, hearing about their love of animals, and then working with them to come up with a legacy plan that will allow them to know that their passion for animals can continue past their lifetime.

Tamara is married to Paul Berry, chief executive officer of Best Friends, and they have two daughters, Olivia and Lila. Their household includes eight dogs and three cats. Tamara's interests include spending time with her family - both two-legged and four-legged - and traveling.
