No More Homeless Pets News

ARC thrift store in downtown Kanab, Utah, contributes 100% of its profits to small animal charities in the Southwest.
"We opened the store very impulsively," said Ruthie Itow. "I was just selling my grooming business and knew I didn't want to sit around eating bon bons. So I said to Marilyn, 'Let's open a business that helps animals,' and within a month we were doing it."
Ruthie and co-owner Marilyn Schiel opened their thrift shop two months ago, and have vowed to choose a different "mom and pop" rescue organization each month to receive the store's entire month's profits. So far, they have donated to Happy Tails Animal League in Cedar City, Utah, and Angels for Animals in Veyo, Utah.

ARC (Animal Rescue Charities) thrift store runs entirely on people's donations of household goods, clothing and pet-related items.
"Business has been very good," the women declare. "We really appreciate all the support." But of course, they can use more! So if you happen to be in Kanab, and have a few nice things you haven't used in years, bring 'em on down. And if you're short on nice things - they take cash and checks!
