Neighborhood Bully?

Butterfinger isn't really a bully -- he's a snuggle monster. But he was a bully to the neighbor cat, and that's how he lost his home and came to Best Friends.

He was declawed on his front paws and living an outdoor life -- a very dangerous situation. But in this case, it was the neighbor's cat who felt in danger, because Butterfinger was always beating him up. After one fight, the neighbor cat had to go to the vet, and the neighbors presented Butterfinger's people with the doctor bill. Their declawed cat had done this much damage? Apparently so. They didn't want Butterfinger to live indoors with them, so they gave him up rather than risk any more poundings on the neighbor cat.

Butterfinger, a very personable guy, is now at Best Friends, looking for an indoor-only home. It really is best for cats to keep their claws, but when a cat has been declawed, it's very important that he lives indoors. The good news is that Butterfinger has such a warm personality that he will make a wonderful household companion. Claws or no claws, he was born to live indoors! (And outdoor cats of the world say they'll feel much safer with this karate-chopping, declawed fighting machine locked safely inside a house, purring on someone's lap.)
