Meet some of the cutest world travelers!
Liberty: From Utah to Arizona
Despite his disability, Liberty (at right) the pygmy goat, born with five feet (hence his clever walk!), had to jump through more hoops than most to reach his new home at a lovely family sanctuary (www.morningstarr.org).
It sounded like a simple journey from Utah to Arizona. Being livestock ("What's that?" Don't worry about it, Liberty, it's just human-talk), he had to pass a bunch of state exams.
Still, nothing could stop this cuddly fellow from finding his peaceful new haven in Arizona.
Conejo: From New Mexico to Illinois!
Conejo is a playful New Mexican, born with some minor neurological problems that make him walk kind of funny. (Actually, he hops.)
But that didn't keep him from bouncing all the way to Illinois on the shoulder of his new adoring mom! "Wheeeee! I love car rides!"
Sunday: From New York to Arkansas!
This nine-year old Lab mix was a shy New Yorker who won the heart of an Arkansas woman.
Too old to travel? Not this strong spirit! Sunday may seem mellow, but nothing will keep her from her new cozy home!
Cory: From California to Wisconsin
Cory was semi-feral in California because his owners kept him out in the backyard and threw food to him! He never got to play or snuggle. But no more of that!
Cory came to Best Friends, and after a time in special foster care here, he packed himself a suitcase and went off to a new home with folks who love him up in Wisconsin.
Hey - no distance is too far to find a place where you belong!
Rabberta: From Alaska to Ohio!
Her family were deployed by the military and were grief-stricken to abandon her... so afraid she'd never find a home.
But, "look at me mom and dad! I'm going to Ohio!" Rabberta has a new home with someone who adores her.
