 My office staff
also includes two Tomato look-alikes, which is very helpful if I'm not available to go on
the air during an emergency. The look-alikes are Mortimer and Tango. They both have bent tails (which I don't have), that they'll have to keep out of sight if they're going to be standing in for me. And Tango is very shy and likes to hide, but that might work OK on TV. In any case, I'll only need a look-alike stand-in if I'm busy working on an important story and can't go online, or on air, myself. As well as investigative reporting, there's lots of other office work to be done -- like answering your nice letters and e-mail. Maytag works in the mailing office, which is at the other end of Angel Canyon from the TLC Cat Club.
She's all better now, and has a good job in the office, helping to keep track of Best Friends members by typing random comments into the computer. (So, if you suddenly receive an incomprehensible letter from us thanking you for sending in 25 cats when, in fact, you sent in $25, you'll know what happened.) |
Maytag was in very bad shape when she was
brought to Best Friends. She'd been put in a washing machine, of all things.
