Welcome to Parrot Garden, where the parrots chat noisily all day, and the wildlife watch your every move! The bird department houses over 200 birds and mammals, and also provides parrot rescue, wildlife rehabilitation, and sanctuary to domestic birds. Inside the parrot building, Cody will greet you with "Hello, did you eat your pea soup?" Paco, a Wagler's conure, will pipe up with "Hello! I love you!" and the other birds will pick up the volume, announcing your arrival and making a party out of it. You'll see the caregivers delivering fresh veggies and grains, cleaning cages and carrying birds outside for an afternoon in the sunshine. Soft music flows melodiously through the building. In the cockatiel room, everyone is flying about, stretching in front of their favorite mirror or grouping together for a day of playing with their toys.
