Rabbit Adoptions Form

Welcome to the Best Friends Animal Society Adoption Program. We are glad that you would like to adopt a new rabbit from us. The following information is requested so that we can assist you in the selection of a rabbit companion. This application and consultation with the Best Friends Rabbit Manager are designed to help us determine if the adoption is in the rabbit’s best interest and to assist you in finding the rabbit/s most compatible with your lifestyle. In almost all cases we adopt rabbits as bonded pairs. There may be exceptions for single rabbit or group adoptions. We believe that rabbits thrive with rabbit friends and when made a part of their families lives and surroundings. We recommend primary indoor housing with outside time in a predator safe and supervised setting.

The rabbit department does prefer a home visit prior to placing the rabbit. If you live a far distance from Best Friends a home visit can be arranged with our network volunteers. Your references will be contacted. We will consider your adoption application on an individual basis based on the information provided and interview. The adoption fee is $35 for a single rabbit and $60 for a pair.
