We and Our Shadow
Sharon Wehling, a veterinary student at Iowa State University, spent two weeks impersonating the shadow of Virg Clemans and Dr. Laura Lodwick. Sharon came to Best Friends on a grant from Maddie's Fund.
Sharon says, "I picked Best Friends because I used to work at a veterinary clinic and one of the technicians talked about Best Friends all the time.
"I'm the vets' shadow, and I have had the opportunity for surgery experience. I'm really impressed with the extent of care and how everyone knows the animals by their names and the history of each animal."
