Adopting from Best Friends
If you are interested in giving one of these animals a new home, please contact the sanctuary and let us know which animal(s) you're interested in. (For dog adoptions, see below.) Include your full mailing address, phone number, e-mail and fax (if you have one). We'll send you the basic adoption form to fill in and mail, e-mail or fax back. After we receive it, we'll call you on the phone.
For dog adoptions, please use our online dog adoption application form. or print and mail it to Best Friends Animal Society, c/o Dog Adoptions, Kanab, Utah 84741 or fax it to (435) 644-3627. If you would like to know more about a specific dog before sending in your application, email dogadoptions@bestfriends.org.
For bunny adoptions, please use our online rabbit adoption application form, or print and mail it to Best Friends Animal Society, c/o Bunny House Manager, 5001 Angel Canyon Road, Kanab, Utah 84741. Best Friends only works with the primary caregiver of the animal. If you are thinking of a friend or relative who would enjoy having a certain pet, please ask them to get in touch with us.
We'll need to talk with you in some detail about the animal you'd like to adopt and tell you more about their special needs.
There is a minimum adoption fee that varies from cats and dogs to horses and bunnies. We also require if you want one of the very special canine or feline friends that you make a trip to Best Friends to meet them first. It will give you an opportunity to see if you bond with a particular pet. (And, of course, it's a great opportunity to visit the sanctuary, too!)
