Nino
"What's that, sonny? You want me to be your new dog?"
Nino is an old dog with poor hearing. (Although some of his caregivers at the sanctuary declare that it's "selective hearing" rather than poor!) He's 13 years old, and has been at Best Friends for ten years and counting. He came from California with no place else to go because of an alleged nip.
Nino is shy when he first meets you. But his friends at the sanctuary know that he likes to give out kisses with the best of them once he's come to know you. He also loves to be petted, and when he thinks no one's looking, he sometimes tosses his toys up in the air. Oh, he also loves going on his leash walks. He's a little arthritic, but he's a great walker.
Nino is quiet, low-key, and fine with both cats and other dogs. Is he your new faithful old pooch?
