November 24, 2008 : A letter from Amy: I promised to keep you updated on Tiki (or Teek, as we call him) so I’m enclosing some pictures from his latest adventure. In September my family and I floated the Middlefork of the Salmon River. We had such a great time and Teek and my dad’s dog, Sugar, had an awesome time.  As you know, Teek lives in Las Vegas with my brother, Tim, and his two kids. They take excellent care of him and love him very much! He loves to swim (pool, lake, pond, any kind of water) and walks and cuddling. He is such a happy dog – he really looks like he’s always smiling. We are so fortunate to have him in our lives!
Also, on kind of a sad note (with a happy ending) my husband and I were driving through the high desert where Teek was found and thought it would be a great idea to get some pictures of where he had been rescued. Well, we found a little six week old puppy huddled under a mattress. It just broke our hearts so we took her with us. We ended up giving her to my sister who absolutely adores her! 
Anyway, our lives have been so blessed by that place in the desert and we are grateful! Thank you for all you do for the animals!!! |
