For little Mei Mei, life in a commercial breeding operation is over. No more living in wire cages churning out puppies for profit. Mei Mei was one of around 100 dogs rescued from a commercial breeding operation located near Palmdale, California. Six of these dogs came to Best Friends, all older girls except for Mei Mei which means “little sister” in Chinese. Mei Mei’s most noticeable traits are her apple shaped head, big eyes, adorable under bite and affectionate nature. Despite life in a puppy mill, Mei Mei never showed a fear of people or new situations like many dogs from the same situation would. Instead, Mei Mei seemed to decide that after a life of too little love, those days were behind her, bring on the attention! Mei Mei has been adopted into a loving home where she gets all of the attention she wants. |
