Rose was rescued from life on the streets during Hurricane Gustav. This sweet little brindle pit was basically a puppy herself but you could tell that she was already a mother. She was so thin and hungry that it looked like she'd been on a streets for some time. She probably would have stayed on the streets which aren't good odds for any dog.

Rose is definitely a little survivor. She was found lying next to a house with dogs barking inside. Maybe she wanted to be near other dogs, maybe she was just lonesome. When her rescuers pulled up she came running with her tail wagging. She was just a little bag of bones wanting some companionship. Who wouldn’t love her? She's all grown up with her own home now. She'll never be on the streets again.
