“Do I belong at the dump?”

We don’t think so, Curly Sue!

The poor girl was abandoned at a dump. Just a horse among the trash! She was starving, and didn’t know what to do.

In fact, there were three horses abandoned there that day. But a kind person found rescue groups for the other two. It was just Curly Sue who was going to need some extra special care. She had an ugly skin condition that her rescuer couldn’t identify, but it looked miserable. And she was painfully emaciated. When was the last time she’d eaten?

So she came to Best Friends because it looked like this gal was going to need Guardian Angels on her side!

Curly Sue is a gentle, sound, and personable horse. She’s a Curly/Missouri Fox Trotter, which is unusual and special. With plenty of love and care (and some vets on that skin problem el pronto!) Curly Sue could easily be on her way to a life of love – far away from the dump.

But she’ll need all the Guardian Angels she can get!
