Yep. And that was the least of Babe’s problems. Babe was rescued from a home where he wasn’t well cared-for, but his rescuer couldn’t keep him. And his medical needs were severe!

This poor boy had been living without proper shade and shelter, so he had sunburned skin, and frostbit ears. Without hoof care, his feet had grown so long, it hurt just to stand. His tusks had started growing into his cheeks. If that wasn’t enough, the poor guy had been attacked by dogs, and he still had the wounds. He was so dirty that you couldn’t see his beautiful blue eyes.

When Babe got loaded into the crate to come to Best Friends, he needed a lot of coaxing. But the Best Friends staffer told him, “Trust me, and I’ll make sure the rest of your life is better.” And it seemed to work! He got right in.

And now, this very frightened boy is at Best Friends, where he needs all the Guardian Angels he can get so he can have a Cinderella turnaround happy ending!
