Is this fluffy beauty really a street punk?

Raed is a real survivor. He grew up on the streets of Lebanon, and was airlifted to safety after the bombings. He’s affectionate and loves attention. But he came to America with some health problems, and some tough-guy ways, left over from a rough life on the streets. In other words, Raed beats up other cats!

Caregivers have tried everything to get him to be nice to the other kitties. But each time they move him to a new cat room, he just terrorizes his new “friends”. Can he ever overcome his street-tough ways?

Raed has some health problems as well. He’s FIV positive, which is usually not such a big deal, but because he attacks other cats, there’d be a danger he could pass if he ever went to a home with non-FIV cats. Not good! Also, he has chronic upper respiratory infections, and ear troubles that mean he needs to be sedated for regular flushings. And giving him his medicine? Not always easy. He loves people. But if you tick him off, it doesn’t matter whether you’re a cat, a dog or a human. He’ll let you have it!

Everybody knows though that inside his tough exterior is a cat who’s just never been loved, and grew up without anyone to take care of him. So he’s learned to take care of himself. With love, tenderness, and medical care, is it possible he’ll settle down and learn that he doesn’t have to be on full guard? Guardian Angels to the rescue!
