She hadn't even been here for three hours when she went MIA! After almost an hour of searching every nook and cranny in all the rooms as I walked by the dining room I looked at the bottom of one of the hutches and started wondering. Now the one on the right I can see behind over the half wall where the pool table is, no Desi; but I did notice that there was an area of about 3" underneath that she could squeeze in if she put her mind to it.

The half curve of the base you see in the picture isn't enough to see under even if you lay on the floor, so I stuck my fingers underneath on the right side and came into contact with a warm furry object that moved. My heart now returned to a normal beat as I realized that I didn't have to email you with bad news. I was able to move it far enough from the wall to get my head in and see her underneath the left hutch. :-) I'm sure she isn't appreciative of me finding her secret hideaway!

Well she went MIA two more times yesterday and much to our surprise she was under one of the beds with, of all cats, Oli! Apparently Oli dosen't mind Desi sleeping with her.

Last night she was on the large chair and I could tell she was wondering where Kristi and Smidge were, but you can put your mind at ease as Desi and Socks have been playing together since 4:30am and having a ball. Once he discovered that she would chase him the fun began. They are going to be great playmates and I have started carrying my camera everywhere I go in the house now.

Thanks for approving of our adopting this ornery little bundle of energy.

What a beautiful update on precious Desiree, thank you from the bottom of my heart. It's hard to believe that she's grown into such a lovely cat in such a short time. That CAN'T be the scraggly, tiny, near death little kitten I saw on the website a few weeks ago! WOW! She has grown up to be a beautiful young cat! And she's got some gorgeous new housemates, too! Be happy, little Dez! You deserve it!
