Where did the phrase No More Homeless Pets come from?

Best Friends Animal Sanctuary coined the No More Homeless Pets terminology back in 1996 and has been using it publicly since that time.

Who Can Use the Term "No More Homeless Pets"?

In the general sense of bringing an end to the killing of healthy pets in a community, anyone can use the term "No More Homeless Pets." Indeed, doing so helps to spread the word about our shared vision.

As regards using the term "No More Homeless Pets" in the official name of an organization, coalition, or program, Best Friends advises that groups come up with another corporate name to avoid confusion with programs run by Best Friends.

The decision to grant the use of the name is made on a case-by-case basis. Best Friends retains the right to revoke the use of the name at any time.

What is the No More Homeless Pets campaign?
