Kitten at the Airport

Hanna Olszewska from Poland was about to head home from Atlanta when a little abandoned baby kitten scurried through the parking lot. The kitten had nobody. Where would he go? Who would take care of him? She couldn't bring herself to leave him. She cancelled her flight and stayed until she could find someplace for that kitten to go. Sympathy is an amazing force!

Hanna contacted the Best Friends Network, asking whether something could be done for this kitten in a big hurry. Beata Liebetruth sent out a Network message. It seemed like a long-shot, but sometimes kindness inspires more kindness.

When Angela Wilson learned what Hanna had done for this kitten, she immediately offered to foster him. Hanna checked out his situation before finally going home. She reported back to Beata:

"I could see Angela really, really loves cats, and I'm sure he is safe in her hands. It is always such a great feeling to meet people like you and Angela. Thank you very, very much. You will always be in my heart.

"And if Best Friends ever needs any help in Poland, just let me know. God bless you all at Best Friends and please give a big hug to every animal at the sanctuary!"
