Alicia Drakiotes
Birds, rabbits, and ferrets
How to help these homeless critters

Alicia Drakiotes

Alicia Drakiotes cofounded Ferret Wise Rescue and Rehabilitation Shelter in 1995 in Marlborough, New Hampshire. She serves primarily as a rehabilitation technician and educator.

Under Christina Chambreau, DVM, Alicia has studied homeopathy, naturopathic studies, nutritional supplementation, and veterinary nutrition. She has also written numerous nationally published articles on ferret care and sheltering.

Alicia is currently documenting dental aging of young ferrets to be used in a guide applicable to veterinary and rescue use. Several writing projects regarding ferrets are in the wings, targeted toward elementary educational programs.

When not busy with domesticated ferret issues and rehabilitation, Alicia spends time with her family, pets and fine art studies.
