Dr. Christine Wilford


Christine is a founding member of the Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Project and has served as president since its inception in 1997. The Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Project is an animal welfare organization dedicated to reducing the number of homeless cats and ending euthanasia of homeless cats in the shelters in the Puget Sound area by providing safe and humane spay/neuter services for cats free of charge.


Christine holds a doctorate in veterinary medicine from Texas A&M University and currently practices at Cats Exclusive Veterinary Center in Shoreline, Washington. She serves as chairperson for the Continuing Education Committee of Seattle/King County Veterinary Medical Association. She also volunteered for three years with the Seattle Animal Control Commission and does freelance writing in popular magazines to educate pet owners about pet health.


Dr. Wilford was recently selected by the Washington State Veterinary Medical Association as the 2004 recipient of the Distinguished Achievement Award for her work with the Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Project.


Christine is married with two young daughters and is a parent volunteer at North Beach Elementary School. Her hobbies include her horse, cats, and dogs; photography; hiking; and camping.
