Ed Boks

Ed Boks revolutionized animal control in Maricopa County, AZ, and recently became director of New York City Animal care & Control.

Ed brings over 20 years of experience in the animal welfare and control field to his current position. He's also a retired pastor and a former management development consultant.

In New York, Ed and his team are working to transform the traditional catch-and-kill mentality that exists into a recognition of the inherent value of the lives of thousands of animals his shelters care for each year.

Ed has served on the National Animal Control Association (NACA) Board of Directors.
