Ellen "Dixie" Dixon

Dixie Dixon has provided low-cost legal representation to numerous start-up, non-profit adoption and rescue organizations in Pennsylvania. She soon recognized the need for a set of legal forms and agreements that could be used by shelters and adoption organizations in all 50 states, and published a manual of nearly fifty commonly used documents.

Dixie is currently managing an all-volunteer, no kill shelter for cats called Kitty Cottage in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. Dixie also serves on the Board of Directors of The Pennsylvania SPCA in Philadelphia, and is a member of the Animal Legal Defense Fund.
