Julie Castle
Julie Castle is the program director of the No More Homeless Pets in Utah campaign, which includes 22 rescue groups, 54 animal control agencies, and 62 veterinarians statewide.
Julie supervises the mall adoption center; the mobile spay/neuter clinic; special adoption and spay/neuter events and promotions; the statewide spay/neuter voucher program; advertising, marketing and public relations campaigns; and supplemental fundraising programs.
Julie has worked in marketing and communications for over 10 years. Her career began at Southern Utah University when she was hired during her senior year to be director of school relations and director of the Utah Governor's Honors Academy. She then worked in the former Soviet Union for nearly a year, setting up a student exchange program. She graduated magna cum laude from Southern Utah University with a B.S. in political science and history and a minor in communications.
In 1996, Julie joined Innova Marketing, a national marketing firm focusing on developing nationwide creative brand extensions for companies such as Coca-Cola, M&M Mars, and Ocean Spray.
Julie joined the animal welfare movement when she began working for Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, where she created Strut Your Mutt events and the annual Utah Awards for Distinguished Animals, and set up affinity marketing programs for the sanctuary.
