Jean Donaldson
Jean Donaldson is the award-winning author of The Culture Clash and MINE! A Guide to Resource Guiding in Dogs. In 1999 she founded The San Francisco SPCA Academy for Dog Trainers, which has gained a reputation as the Harvard for dog trainers.
A native of Montreal, Canada, Jean holds degrees from McGill University in science and music and is currently pursuing a doctorate in evolutionary biology. While in Montreal, she founded the Montreal Flyball Association and Renaissance Dog Training, obtained numerous titles and wins in various dog sports, and trained up to a black belt in Hung Gar Kung Fu.
Jean has lectured extensively in the U.S., Canada and abroad. She lives in the Bay Area with her husband, Al, and her dogs, Buffy and Meggie.
