Patrick Kwan

Patrick Kwan is the founder and executive director of the Student Animal Rights Alliance (SARA), an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to building a strong and diverse youth movement for animal protection.

Before founding SARA in 2001, Patrick was president of the Brooklyn Technical High School animal rights club. He has worked for Amnesty International as a field organizer for its human rights and the environment campaign and as student coordinator in the northeast region.

He has also served as a youth advisory board member of the Center for Environmental Citizenship / EnviroCitizen, where he worked to empower hundreds of young environmental leaders to use political skills to protect our environment.
