Forget bedtime. Forget keeping the room clean. And don't even think about brushing teeth before bed! The "pupsicles" are living on their own now, and loving it.

You may remember these three puppies from a horse rescue some months back. Best Friends had been called to help out with an animal neglect situation involving horses. When they arrived at the property, though, they found some dogs in bad shape, too. Five adult dogs were tangled up in chains in the freezing weather - they couldn't even reach their frozen water dishes.

But worst of all were these three puppies, later named Carla, Woody, and Norm. Probably only a day or two old, they were lying on the ground out of mom's reach, frozen and stiff. Best Friends vet Dr. Tara picked one up and thought he was dead. Until he wiggled a foot! They rushed the mom and pups back to the sanctuary, holding the puppies next to the heating vents all the way.

My, how time changes everything. Not only did the puppies make a full recovery, they are now thriving and full of all things puppy. Their mom, Diane, just found a home of her own, and the youngsters are enjoying the freedom to shake things up a bit. So if you're ever anywhere near the puppy building at night and you happen to see some disco lights flying all over the place & well, please don't call the cops on the little party animals. After all they've been through, they deserve to cut loose now and again!
