We live in a world where issues of violence, neglect and abandonment have become common place. As a society we must reflect - what will it take to make it stop. As individuals, the question is - what can I do to help make a difference?
The Earth's most valuable commodity - its people, animals, the environment is being discarded with the same ease it takes to delete an e-mail. The more fortunate of the animals, however, will find themselves cared for at Best Friends.
Lois and I would like to express our gratitude to the staff for affording us the opportunity to participate in the caring of your residents. Your facility is exceptional - you set the standard for compassionate care.
A special thank you to Lila and Michelle, and Don Gehre, they patiently, courteously and graciously answered our questions, offered suggestions, and guided us in the proper direction.
Our Regrets:
1. We were not knowledgeable enough to be of more assistance.
2. We were unable to offer more time.
3. We could not adopt Vincent - he is not fond of small dogs, unfortunately we have two that are disabled.
