Lost and Found
A little dog wandered alone by the road,
He was hungry and tired and afraid.
If anyone approached him, he ran away,
Thinking he might be hurt if he stayed.
The days were long and difficult,
And he had no safe place to rest.
So one day when a car stopped close by
And a kind lady called to him,
He thought this time to go with her would be best.
His life changed so much that very day
That he could hardly believe it.
He was given plenty of food, a bath, medical treatment,
A warm place to sleep, and so much love and attention,
That he was amazed to receive it.
The kind lady named the little dog, Buddy,
And told him we no longer have to roam.
He knew how important he was to her,
And that at last he had a great home!
