Winter Warrior

Who is this black spooky cat that defies winter every day? Huddled in the doorway, sleeping in my woodpile-aloof,strong, a free spirit enjoying his Christmas bits of ham (compliments of his fan club-that's me.)

I'll never pet or cuddle this winter warrior, but reach out to him everyday in my heart.

Snuggled indoors we watch as this wild cat treks through my snowy yard, black on white.

Maybe he's happy.

Maybe we're just a tiny bit jealous.
