KC2

My husband, Ed, and I adopted KC2 from our local shelter two years ago. In June 2005 my husband suffered a stroke in the early morning hours. KC2 came into my bedroom, yowling at me to get up, which I did. He led me to my husband's body in the doorway of our spare room. I called 911, and he was hospitalized. He passed away on August 23rd at Hope Hospice.

I credit KC2 for alerting me then, and once again, on October 29. While I was in bed he kept sniffing at my nostrils. I guess, according to him, I wasn't breathing properly. He then kept  "pumping" my chest. I called a friend, and she in turn immediately called another friend to take me to the hospital.

I ended up in ICU for three weeks with tubes in my throat to help me breathe. I'm now on the mend, but I must credit my friends, Carol and Marilyn, and the love of my life, KC2, for still being alive and kicking at age 82.
