I want to let Pokey and all the other cats at Best Friends that there is always hope and lot of wonderful people out there to love you. I had some pretty bad experiences in my life before I met my present owner.
My first owner's grandchildren tried to test my underwater endurance in the bathroom bowl. My second owner was loving to me but had four other large cats who did not share her feeling and were always chasing me and hounding me away from the food bowl.
Now I have the most wonderful mom and dad and I am the only cat in the house. I feel like a king. Of course, I am very spoiled, but what dignified cat shouldn't be.
I have a love for baskets and with my family's love for island decor there are an abundance of baskets all over the house, in all sizes and shapes. The one in the photo was a little tricky to get into but I got it all figured out in a couple of tries.
I wish all you cats and dogs at Best Friends could be as happy as I am, but you are in the best place and there is always hope that someone wonderful will take you home with them one day soon.
