Amazing Grace and K-K-Katie

Several months ago we lost our adorable black Peke. She was our traveling companion racking up many "frequent flyer" miles.

A few weeks ago I opened my kitchen door to find a very dirty, tick infested, little blonde Peke. She had no ID, tags or microchip so we'll never know where she came from, but after a trip to the vet and the beauty salon, and tick medicine she is an important addition to our family.

She's important to our Golden, Amazing Grace. Even though one weighs 84 pounds and the other only 18, they romp and play together wonderfully.

So, what did we name this find at our kitchen door? "K-K-Katie, of course: "I'll be waiting for you at the k-k-kitchen door."

What a gift! What a surprise! One never knows.
