Jack and Jenny
These are our dogs, Jack (right) and Jenny (left). Both are rescues and incredible companions. Jack was abandoned in the Nevada desert and left to fend for himself (during winter). A co-worker picked him up after he'd been out there for quite a while.
He'd been attacked by a coyote, but fought it off. He was starving and probably wouldn't have lasted more than a few days. Jack is an absolute joy with no bad habits - everyone is his friend. His goal in life is to be our buddy and make us happy, and go everywhere with us.
We adopted Jack in December 2000; we think he is now around seven.
Jenny came to us from the High Sierra Animal Rescue in Portola, CA (near Reno). We adopted her in August 2004; we think she's around five now. She is a real character and the best possible companion for Jack.
She lived with an elderly lady who went to a nursing home, and Jenny waited patiently at the rescue shelter for six weeks before we spotted her. Jenny loves her squeaky toys, rides in the car, snuggle time, and chasing birds and bunnies, but most of all she loves her Jack.
Jack and Jenny bring us laughter, love, joy and endless companionship. Hopefully we do the same for them! (The picture was taken on one of our many family vacations to dog-friendly Monterey Bay.)
