Mr. Matt
In 2001 my beloved 18 year old Bichon, Trish, became ill and had to go to Doggie Heaven. One month later we turned on the local news and saw Mr. Matt. He'd been found in the street after being hit by a car, and his front leg was missing.
He was at Safe Harbor, a No-Kill shelter in Jupiter, Fla. He was named Matt because they had to sheer him he was so matted.
We decided to keep the name. He is spoiled and I love him more than words can say. My husband passed away in 2003. The hospital let us take Matt to see Bill. I put Matt on Bill's chest, and I believe they made a connection.
Matt has been such a blessing and is my life. He has many neighbors who also spoil him.
