Globalization, urbanization and trivialization
Wear one's body and erode one's faith.
Come again to the Kaibab near Kanab where folks of vision
Have created an Eden for all our brothers.
Equines and canines, felines and porcines,
Ovines and bovines, birds and rodents,
And me and you and all the others.
Check your Webster and volunteer means giving,
A few days here and you know it's really taking.
Thanks to the Best Friends who started it all
To the wonderful staff and also the critters both rescued and wild.
This respite from the outside makes us feel seven feet tall.
Leaving is hard but our batteries are at full recharge
