Timber Wolf

A dog wandered into a friend's house out in the country in 2003. He was skinny and may have been abused. They advertised in the newspapers and on bulletin boards in stores - no response. They asked us if we could take him.

He got along with our four cats and our Pomeranian, Iam, so we said yes. He's a cream and red/brown Siberian Husky, just beautiful, but he was very timid. Our vet said he was about two years old and had probably been beaten by someone.

We tried calling him many names, but no response. Then our son took him for a walk. The dog rubbed against the pine tree in our yard, so I suggested we call him Timber, and he soon responded to that name, our Timber Wolf.

He is so gentle, smart and protective. He doesn't like to be left alone, and has done some damage in the past, but now we put our son's plays in the VCR and Timber is fine when he hears our son's voice and is okay for four or five hours.

We love our Timber and all of our animals.
