Zeke and Jackpot
After we lost Sasha, our chow chow of 14 years, our younger chow Zeke became very depressed and obviously lonely. Everything he learned about being a dog, he learned from Sasha, and now he seemed to feel so alone.
I visited a Petsmart, where I knew a local shelter brought dogs for adoption. I prayed and asked God that if this was the right time & right place that I would find the newest addition to our family. I knew the newest Sisco would need to be a girl. At Petsmart they only brought one female dog and was she ever beautiful.
An Australian Shepherd with no name looked at me with these beautiful sparkling eyes and that was it. She needed to come home with us.
Once she got home, she had some adjusting to do. She ate every real & fake plant in the house, nibbled on the remote control and the apples on the Christmas tree. Yikes! Maybe it would be easier to tell you what she DIDN'T eat (HA!)
But wait! After a well needed bath and few months of love, affection and praise, I'm proud to say the only things she chews on are her own toys!
She is so full of love, energy and fun! I can't imagine our home without them both and they are both so happy together!
