Christmas at Ray and Margaret Treon's
There once was a couple named Treon
Whose strange ways crop up once an eon
Their house is a zoo
People live in it too,
There's really no safe place to be on.
Among their strange pets are Ferrets
Who frequently earn some demerits.
Nipping heels and toes
Climbing inside clothes
Even while we are wearing it.
There's also a streak called a mink
Who you'll miss if you so much as blink.
It enjoys biting fingers
With teeth clamped it lingers
Which classifies it as a fink.
Then there's Horatio, who thinks he's a skunk
Buy by some means has gotten unstunk
He trundles around
With fat he abounds
He might be a lap pet if shrunk.
Their house has much flora and fauna
Each grows in a miniature sauna
They're fed under glass
They're really high class
Breathing our air, they'll suffer a trauma.
If by now you are getting the drift
Of sense they are both quite bereft
What more appropriate thing
Could we possibly bring
Than a box of nuts for a gift.
