Toby
Toby is eight years old. He's a mixed breed, mostly black lab. All of his life Toby was chained in the back yard of his two previous owners. He was out in all kinds of weather to the point where he is terrified of thunder, fireworks, a car backfiring, etc.
When his second owner said he didn't want Toby anymore my husband said we would take him. The first stop on the way home was the vets. We have been Toby's mom and dad for two years now. He sees the vet on a regular basis, goes to the groomer once a month. It took a long time to train Toby, but we did, and he no longer lives outside.
He is still frightened of loud noises, but he has turned out to be a wonderful pet.
