Cat Shelters
About 18 months ago, a small group started constructing cat shelters to help people caring for ferals. To date, we have constructed and placed 67 shelters.
All of us have volunteered with local cat rescue groups and wanted to go to the next step to help shelter the many ferals who have been trapped and neutered. I've enclosed the flyer we use.
Because of some very generous donations to the shelter project, we are able to offer low, or no cost shelters to those who may have a limited income and wish to help the ferals they are feeding and housing.
Utilizing the expertise of Alley Cat Allies for basic design, a group of volunteers build insulated shelters to keep the ferals warm and dry. The price of a shelter is $60.00, which covers materials only - all of the labor is provided by volunteers.
The reward is knowing that our feline friends will be safe, secure and comfortable.
